Description
Mount Ngaruahoe, near the village of Ohakune, where the scenes for Mordor were filmed used in Peter Jacksons Lord of the Rings movies. Peter wanted to use this mountain as Mount Doom, but was forbidden from filming it by a local Maori tribe.
