Until they got canceled because of the tragedy in Apeldoorn.
It was a nice and sunny day. The difficulty with Queensday is that the events take place in four separate villages in the municipality of Rijnwoude. It meant a lot of travel, and being careful about what to shoot. If you shoot too much.. you're left with a huge pile of material to sift through on the editing table. But I managed to keep total footage at 12 minutes. The short cuts really helped to edit it all to the voiceover provided by my father.
